Ander Chapartegui Arias was born in Venezuela on December 27, 1985. He is living in Spain for 18 years, having dual citizenship. Graduated in chemistry from the University of La Laguna in 2009, he is currently studying a Masters in Research in Chemistry from the same university. His Final Project work is being carried out in the "Structures of Biomolecules" group from IUBO under the supervision of Dr D. Jesús Mª Trujillo Vázquez and Rosa Lelia Dorta Díaz. This work involves the synthesis, and structural and conformational studies of carbohydrate mimetic using techniques like Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy and Circular Dichroism.
